DTF File Requirements and Guidelines.

When preparing your artwork for printing, it's important to follow specific guidelines to ensure the best possible results.Accepted file formats for submission include .psd, .png, and .svg. Remember to always have a transparent background in your design to prevent any unwanted elements from being printed.Make sure to submit your artwork in the exact print size required, our software will never resize your designs.Keep in mind that words smaller than 0.5 inches tall may not print clearly, and intricate details might not transfer well. Consider adding a stroke and thickening fine details for optimal results. Please be aware that DTF printing does not support transparency, drop shadows, or gradients, so it's essential to remove them from your design before submission.

An explanation on why color discrepancies happens.

CMYK, RGB, and Pantone are different color systems used for various applications, and each has its limitations and specific purposes, which can lead to discrepancies between them.

1. CMYK (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Key/Black):
Purpose: Primarily used in color printing.
Color Range: Subtractive color model where colors are created by subtracting light. It has a more limited color gamut compared to RGB.
Limitation: Cannot produce some bright and vibrant colors that RGB can, resulting in less saturated and sometimes duller prints.

2. RGB (Red, Green, Blue)
Purpose: Used for electronic displays like monitors, TVs, and cameras.
Color Range: Additive color model where colors are created by adding light. It has a broader color gamut than CMYK.
Limitation: Some RGB colors can't be replicated in print using CMYK due to the differences in how colors are produced (light vs. pigment).

3. Pantone (Pantone Matching System or PMS):
Purpose: Used for precise color matching in various industries, especially in branding and printing.
Color Range: Uses pre-mixed ink colors to achieve specific shades that are often beyond the gamut of both RGB and CMYK.
Limitation: While it ensures color consistency, it requires special inks and can be more expensive. Not all Pantone colors can be accurately reproduced using standard CMYK printing.

Key Reasons for Mismatches:

Gamut Differences:

Each system has a different range of colors (gamut) it can reproduce. RGB has the widest gamut, followed by Pantone, and then CMYK. Colors that can be displayed on a screen (RGB) might not be printable using CMYK or might need special Pantone inks to match.

Color Production Method: RGB uses light to create colors, which can produce more vibrant and luminous colors. CMYK uses physical inks that combine to produce colors, leading to a reduced range. Pantone uses specific ink formulations, allowing for colors not achievable in CMYK.

Medium and Application: RGB is for digital screens, CMYK is for standard printing, and Pantone is for exact color matching in physical media. Each system is optimized for its specific medium, which causes variations when converting between them.

To achieve the best possible match across these systems, careful color management and sometimes compromises are necessary, acknowledging the limitations and strengths of each system.

Pressing Instructions

Cotton Fabrics:120-150 deg Celsius @ 15-25 seconds

Polyester: 115 deg. Celsius @ 5 seconds

  • Prepress your shirts to remove moisture for a few seconds.

  • Press you shirt using the time and temp indicated above.
  • After the first press let the shirt cool down (Cold peel) and peel the film.
  • Repress it again with a parchment paper on top of the design.
  • Shirts should not be washed for 24 hrs.
  • An industrial heat press is recommended for best results.
A cricut heat press may not work.

Order by uploading and arranging your files based on your desired sheet size. Ensure artwork is submitted at the intended print size needed.
