UV direct to film transfers is a popular trend that we offer using an industrial printer. Our transfers are brighter than sublimation and don't require any additional equipment. We provide high-quality transfers and do the hard work for you. DTF UV Transfer is ideal for decorating any hard surfaces, with glass mugs and cups being especially suited to the process. Usages range from individual customization to business promotion, offering countless opportunities.
Be aware that this item is not suitable for use in a dishwasher or any extreme weather conditions.
Disclaimer:
- Variances in colour may occur based on screen resolution and monitor colour reproduction.
- We don’t take responsibility to damage transfer due to user error. But if you have problem feel free to reach out and we can work on a solution.
Using a cup cradle and felt edge squeegee is suggested to facilitate the application process.

FILE REQUIREMENTS FOR DTF PRINTING
Accepted Formats: Only .PSD, .PNG, and .SVG files are allowed.
Transparent Background: All designs must have a transparent background to prevent unwanted elements from appearing in the print.
Exact Print Size: Artwork must be submitted in the exact required print size. We do not resize designs.
Text Size: For clear printing, all text must be at least 0.5 inches tall.
Details: Fine details should be thickened or outlined for better transfer quality.
Design Limitations: DTF printing does not support transparency or drop shadows, as these elements will not adhere properly to the fabric. Please remove them from your design, adjust them to at least 70% transparency, or replace them with solid lines.
DPI Requirement: Files must be submitted at a minimum resolution of 300 DPI for optimal quality.
Image Quality Warning: If your file looks blurry or pixelated on the screen, this will be magnified up to 100x when printed. Low-quality files may have dead pixels surrounding the design, causing a white edge border around the print.
No Refunds: No refunds will be given for pixelated or low-quality files. Designs will be printed exactly as submitted without any edits.
Adhering to these requirements will ensure the best printing results.
PRESSING INSTRUCTIONS COTTON FABRICS
PRESSING INSTRUCTIONS COTTON FABRICS
Cotton Fabrics:120-150 deg Celsius @ 15-25 seconds
Prepress the Shirt
Prepress the shirt to remove any moisture and wrinkles. This ensures that the fabric is smooth and dry, providing a better surface for the transfer.
Position the Transfer
Place the DTF transfer film on the desired area of the shirt. Make sure it is aligned properly to ensure the design will be applied exactly where you want it.
Press the Shirt
Use the specified time and temperature settings to press the transfer onto the shirt. Follow the recommended heat press settings for best results.
Cool Down Before Peeling
After pressing, allow the shirt to cool down for 15-20 seconds before peeling the transfer film off. Although the film is hot peel, it’s best to wait to ensure a smooth, clean peel without damaging the design.
Repress with Parchment Paper
Once the film is peeled off, repress the design with parchment paper on top. This step ensures that the design fully adheres to the fabric, increasing durability.
Wait 24 Hours Before Washing
Do not wash the shirt within 24 hours after pressing. This waiting period allows the transfer to fully set and ensures that the design remains intact during washing.
Pressure and Heat Requirements
DTF transfers require heavy pressure for optimal results. An industrial heat press is recommended for this process. Using a Cricut heat press may not provide sufficient pressure, which could affect the quality of the transfer.

Recommended Settings for DTF on Polyester:
- Temperature: 120-140°C (250-280°F)
- Time: 15-20 seconds
- Pressure: Heavy pressure is required for optimal transfer adhesion.
Step-by-Step Process:
1. Prepress the Shirt
- Temperature: 120-140°C
- Time: 15-20 seconds
- Purpose: Prepress the shirt to remove moisture and wrinkles, ensuring a smooth surface for the transfer. This is especially important for polyester, as moisture or wrinkles can affect the transfer process.
2. Position the Transfer
- Alignment: Place the DTF transfer film on the desired area of the shirt, ensuring it's properly aligned for accurate design placement.
3. Press the Shirt
- Temperature: 120-140°C (Do not exceed this range to avoid damaging polyester.)
- Time: 15-20 seconds (Polyester requires a shorter pressing time than cotton.)
- Pressure: Apply heavy pressure for optimal adhesion. Use an industrial heat press, as Cricut heat presses may not provide enough pressure for DTF transfers on polyester.
4. Cool Down Before Peeling
- Wait 15-20 seconds after pressing before peeling off the transfer film. This brief cool-down ensures a smooth, clean peel and reduces the risk of damaging the design.
5. Repress with Parchment Paper
- Time: 15-20 seconds
- Purpose: Place parchment paper over the design and repress to ensure full bonding of the design to the polyester fabric, enhancing durability.
6. Wait 24 Hours Before Washing
- Reason: Allow the shirt to sit for 24 hours before washing. This allows the transfer to fully cure and set, ensuring it stays intact during washing.
Special Considerations for Polyester:
- Avoid High Temperatures: Polyester is heat-sensitive. Stick to the 120-140°C range to avoid damaging the fabric.
- Quick Pressing Time: Polyester requires a shorter pressing time (15-20 seconds) compared to cotton. Prolonged heat exposure can distort the fabric.
- Heavy Pressure: Even with a shorter pressing time, heavy pressure is needed for proper adhesion.
- Use an Industrial Heat Press: A professional-grade heat press is recommended for optimal results. Cricut heat presses may not provide enough pressure, leading to poor adhesion or uneven transfers.
By following these steps and using the recommended settings, you’ll achieve a high-quality, durable DTF transfer on polyester fabric!
